El polaco se llev\u00f3 la victoria de etapa y el ecuatoriano se coloc\u00f3 l\u00edder de la Monta\u00f1a, logros objetivos que se suman a la bell\u00edsima fotograf\u00eda de ambos corredores entrando de la mano en meta para resarcir a un equipo que se hab\u00eda llevado una gran decepci\u00f3n con el abandono por lesi\u00f3n de su l\u00edder Egan Bernal, el campe\u00f3n saliente del Tour de Francia. En la pelea por su sucesi\u00f3n, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) mantuvo el maillot amarillo sin excesivos problemas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10021 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/cf4f5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/cf4f5.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/cf4f5-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/cf4f5-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>150 corredores tomaron la salida en la decimoctava etapa del Tour de Francia 2020, con un recorrido previsto de 175 kil\u00f3metros entre M\u00e9ribel y La Roche-sur-Foron, a las 12:31. Fue en el kil\u00f3metro 2 que se form\u00f3 una escapada de 32 corredores que representaban a 16 equipos. Entre ellos estaban los ciclistas implicados en la lucha por la clasificaci\u00f3n por Puntos, que se jugaron el sprint intermedio de Aime (SI, km 14) con Sam Bennett (Deceuninck-Quick Step) ganando la partida a Matteo Trentin (CCC Team) y Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe). No obstante, equipos no representados como B&amp;B Hotels-Vital Concept y Total Direct Energie se fajaron buscando evitar que la escapada fraguara. De este modo, solo hab\u00eda 1&#8217;45&#8221; de diferencia al pie del Cormet de Roselend (1\u00aa, km 46).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consolidaci\u00f3n en el primer puerto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La subida al primer puerto de la jornada estuvo plagada de ataques y contraataques en el pelot\u00f3n. El m\u00e1s destacado lo efectu\u00f3 Damiano Caruso (Bahrain-McLaren), el \u00fanico capaz de empalmar con una escapada que hab\u00eda perdido efectivos por el ritmo de Ineos Grenadiers. En la cima qued\u00f3 definido un grupo de 19 corredores con Richard Carapaz, Jonathan Castroviejo, Michal Kwiatkowski (Ineos Grenadiers), Nans Peters (Ag2r La Mondiale), Bob Jungels (Deceuninck-Quick Step), Rudy Molard, S\u00e9bastien Reichenbach (Groupama-FDJ), Damiano Caruso, Pello Bilbao (Bahrain-McLaren), Dario Cataldo, Nelson Oliveira, Carlos Verona (Movistar Team), Simon Geschke (CCC Team), Nicolas Edet, Jes\u00fas Herrada (Cofidis), Luis Le\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez (Astana Pro Team), Thomas de Gendt (Lotto-Soudal), Marc Hirschi y Nicholas Roche (Team Sunweb). En la cima del Cormet de Roselend (1\u00aa, km 46), Hirschi y Carapaz se batieron, con victoria para el suizo, y se marcharon a d\u00fao. Los cinco rodaron con buena entente en este puerto y en el Col des Saisies (2\u00aa, km 91), con Hirschi sumando los m\u00e1ximos puntos de la Monta\u00f1a en ambos casos por delante de Carapaz. Fue en la bajada de este \u00faltimo que el suizo sufrir\u00eda una ca\u00edda tratando de seguir la rueda del ecuatoriano, que se hab\u00eda lanzado cuesta abajo, quedando eliminado de la lucha por la etapa y por el maillot de puntos rojos. En el inmediato Col des Aravis (1\u00aa, km 117,5), Edet se descolgar\u00eda y Carapaz coronar\u00eda primero. En esta cima se registr\u00f3 la ventaja m\u00e1xima de la cabeza de carrera sobre el pelot\u00f3n pacificado por Jumbo-Visma: 8\u201945\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ur\u00e1n y Yates, perdedores del d\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En la subida al Plateau des Gli\u00e8res (HC, km 143,5), el d\u00fao de Ineos Grenadiers logr\u00f3 desembarazarse de su rival Bilbao y asegurar el liderato de la Monta\u00f1a para Carapaz. A partir de ah\u00ed s\u00f3lo tuvieron que rodar juntos hasta meta, donde protagonizaron una bello desenlace. En la carrera por la general, Mikel Landa (Bahrain-McLaren) atac\u00f3 al pie de la subida, forzando una aceleraci\u00f3n en el grupo de favoritos que descolg\u00f3 a Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) y Rigoberto Ur\u00e1n (EF Education First), 5\u00ba y 6\u00ba en la general, que cedieron 2\u201940\u201d y dos plazas respectivamente en meta. Tambi\u00e9n Richie Porte (Trek-Segafredo) estuvo a punto de perder tiempo a causa de un pinchazo despu\u00e9s de coronar el Plateau des Gli\u00e8res. Sin embargo, la pobre colaboraci\u00f3n entre el resto de favoritos propici\u00f3 que pudiera regresar a su par y salvar su cuarto puesto provisional en la con todo el equipo y especialmente a Richard. Nunca olvidar\u00e9 esto. He tenido grandes momentos en mi carrera ciclista, pero esta sensaci\u00f3n es totalmente nueva. Disfrutamos mucho de los \u00faltimos kil\u00f3metros, sabiendo que nuestra ventaja era lo suficientemente grande como para asegurarnos la victoria. Espero que Egan Bernal nos haya visto, est\u00e9 mejor y haya disfrutado de lo que hicimos hoy. Probamos todo los \u00faltimos d\u00edas y hoy finalmente\u2026 La forma en que manejamos la situaci\u00f3n Richard y yo hoy fue incre\u00edble. Hemos pasado por mucho durante este Tour, nos merecemos esta victoria. [Portal] Siempre que no tenemos \u00e9xito o lo tenemos, siempre lo recordamos. Es dif\u00edcil de describir realmente esa sensaci\u00f3n, lo extra\u00f1amos mucho y s\u00e9 que a \u00e9l especialmente le habr\u00eda gustado esto que hicimos hoy. Creo que el esp\u00edritu que hemos tenido durante el Tour es por su inspiraci\u00f3n y por su recuerdo. As\u00ed que definitivamente esto es para \u00e9l\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RICHARD CARAPAZ<\/strong>. \u00abFue una victoria incre\u00edble. Ambos comenzamos en el primer corte, quer\u00edamos sumar puntos para el maillot de lunares e ir por la victoria de etapa, fue un esfuerzo colectivo. Decidimos juntos que Michal iba a ganar la etapa y yo el maillot de lunares. Ahora defenderemos este logro y tendremos que buscar la mejor estrategia para mantenerla hasta Par\u00eds\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TADEJ POGA\u010cAR<\/strong>. \u00abFue una de las etapas m\u00e1s duras, Jumbo hizo un gran trabajo controlando la carrera. Intent\u00e9 robarles algo de tiempo en la \u00faltima subida, pero Primoz fue el m\u00e1s fuerte hoy una vez m\u00e1s. No pude apartarme ni un segundo de \u00e9l, a pesar de que hice una buena subida. Tambi\u00e9n intent\u00e9 correr por la tercera plaza de la etapa y bonificar pero no pude. Al final estoy contento con este resultado. La diferencia es un poco demasiado grande, pero har\u00e9 todo lo que pueda en la contrarreloj, incluso para asegurar mi segundo lugar\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRIMOZ ROGLIC<\/strong>. \u00abUn d\u00eda menos. Mi equipo ha hecho un gran trabajo y hemos superados dos d\u00edas muy duros consecutivos. Nos vemos obligados a tirar muchos kil\u00f3metros y controlar muchas subidas, pero lo gestionamos bien entre todos. Prefiero no mirar a mis rivales y fijarme en m\u00ed mismo, porque es la mejor manera de competir bien. Mi esfuerzo es lo \u00fanico que yo puedo controlar. Quedan d\u00edas peligrosos. La contrarreloj va a decidir la general, seguro, pero tambi\u00e9n ma\u00f1ana habr\u00e1 que estar concentrados porque no es una etapa llana en absoluto. No s\u00e9 qu\u00e9 le dije a Tadej [Poga\u010dar] en el descenso. Seguro que fue algo divertido, porque nos llevamos muy bien\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MIKEL LANDA<\/strong>. \u00abFue nuestra \u00faltima oportunidad hoy. Ten\u00edamos algunos compa\u00f1eros al frente pero ha sido una pena que no pudi\u00e9ramos salir del control del Jumbo. El ritmo de ellos era demasiado r\u00e1pido y no pudimos mejorar. Estoy muy orgulloso por el equipo y de lo que hemos logrado, pero Jumbo no permiti\u00f3 m\u00e1s\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MIGUEL \u00c1NGEL L\u00d3PEZ<\/strong>. \u00abUn d\u00eda duro, pero estoy feliz de pasarlo sin problema y terminar con los mejores. Una vez m\u00e1s, el equipo hizo un gran trabajo por m\u00ed y pude ahorrar algo de energ\u00eda para la \u00faltima subida. El ritmo de nuestro grupo en la \u00faltima ascensi\u00f3n fue realmente alto, por lo que no fue posible intentar algo. El tramo de grava era un poco peligroso, pero logr\u00e9 pasarlo bien. Estoy feliz de mantener mi posici\u00f3n en la clasificaci\u00f3n general y no perder tiempo con los dem\u00e1s, una etapa menos y estamos un poco m\u00e1s cerca de Par\u00eds. El s\u00e1bado tendremos una dura contrarreloj individual y, por supuesto, intentar\u00e9 mostrar mi m\u00e1ximo nivel all\u00ed. Cada contrarreloj es diferente y una contrarreloj en la vig\u00e9sima etapa del Tour de Francia difiere mucho de cualquier otra carrera. Todo lo que puedo hacer darlo todo pero, antes que nada, tenemos que hacer bien la etapa de ma\u00f1ana\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MARC HIRSCHI<\/strong>. \u00abMe sent\u00eda muy bien hoy, y de hecho cog\u00ed un mont\u00f3n de puntos para el maillot de la Monta\u00f1a\u2026 pero me ca\u00ed, y aunque intent\u00e9 volver a cabeza de carrera, no pude. Me ca\u00ed porque intent\u00e9 atrapar a Carapaz bajando y no calcul\u00e9 bien. Estaba usando un neum\u00e1tico distinto al habitual, no lo conozco bien, y resbal\u00e9 y me fui al suelo.
