Se sucedieron los ataques hasta que Sylvain Chavanel (Direct Energie), Michael Gogl (Trek &#8211; Segafredo) y Dion Smith (Wanty &#8211; Groupe Gobert) formaron la escapada de la jornada en el kil\u00f3metro 3. Consiguieron su primer minuto de ventaja sobre el pelot\u00f3n en torno al kil\u00f3metro 6 de carrera. Llegaron juntos hasta el \u00fanico premio de la Monta\u00f1a del d\u00eda, la C\u00f4te de Pouzauges (4\u00aa, km 28). En ella se impuso Smith para convertirse en el primer neozeland\u00e9s de la historia que lidera una clasificaci\u00f3n del Tour de Francia. Acto seguido, tanto el Smith como Gogl levantaron el pie y dejaron a Chavanel s\u00f3lo en cabeza de carrera.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chavanel, en solitario<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durante 100 kil\u00f3metros, la carrera fue pr\u00e1cticamente un mano a mano. En cabeza, Sylvain Chavanel ofrec\u00eda protagonismo en casa a Direct Energie; en el pelot\u00f3n, Tim Declercq tiraba para el Quick-Step Floors de Fernando Gaviria. La diferencia se mantuvo en todo momento entre los tres y los cuatro minutos. S\u00f3lo empez\u00f3 a bajar a partir del sprint intermedio de Beaulieu-sur-la-Roche, en el cual Chavanel pas\u00f3 primero y Peter Sagan (Bora &#8211; Hansgrohe) gan\u00f3 el sprint del pelot\u00f3n por la segunda posici\u00f3n. Adam Yates (Mitchelton &#8211; Scott) sufri\u00f3 una ca\u00edda sin consecuencias. Menos suerte tuvo Luis Le\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez (Astana Pro Team), que cay\u00f3 a 43 de meta y se vio obligado abandonar. Todo ello antes de unos kil\u00f3metros finales muy r\u00e1pidos, en l\u00ednea recta y con pendiente favorable, que se vieron marrados por una ca\u00edda dentro de los tres \u00faltimos kil\u00f3metros que elimin\u00f3 de la contienda a favoritos como el hasta ahora l\u00edder Fernando Gaviria (Quick-Step Floors).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<section class=\"subscription\">\n<div class=\"container\">Como suele suceder en estos casos, <strong>Peter Sagan<\/strong> por lo general es el m\u00e1s listo del grupo de sprinter. Por eso es el <strong>nuevo l\u00edder<\/strong> del <strong>Tour de Francia<\/strong> despu\u00e9s de ganar la 2\u00aa etapa sobre ese selecto grupo donde <strong>Colbrelli<\/strong> intent\u00f3 lo imposible y donde <strong>Valverde<\/strong> ya firm\u00f3 su primer top 10 parcial. Una situaci\u00f3n solo v\u00e1lida para conocer al mejor de la segunda fecha. Y el eslovaco lo fue por <strong>novena vez<\/strong> en la gran ronda francesa aglutinando ya <strong>110 victorias como profesional<\/strong> y esperando demostrar su valor luego de la
