Tercero en la etapa fue Geraint Thomas (Team Sky), rubricando as\u00ed su victoria en la general de esta Grande Boucle a falta del fin de fiesta parisino. Se qued\u00f3 sin caj\u00f3n Primoz Roglic (LottoNL &#8211; Jumbo), octavo hoy y relegado a la cuarta posici\u00f3n de la general final por la gran actuaci\u00f3n de Froome.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>145 ciclistas participaron en la vig\u00e9sima etapa del Tour de Francia, 31 kil\u00f3metros contrarreloj entre Saint-P\u00e9e-sur-Nivelle y Espelette. El primero en partir a las 12:00 fue Lawson Craddock (EF Education First &#8211; Drapac), cuyo mejor tiempo dur\u00f3 apenas unos minutos: seguidamente le bati\u00f3 Jay Robert Thomson (Team Dimension Data), a quien sucesivamente superaron Amuhd Grohndal Jansen (LottoNL &#8211; Jumbo), Maciej Bodnar (Bora &#8211; Hansgrohe) y Michael Hepburn (Mitchelton &#8211; Scott).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hito de Marc Soler<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La referencia del pistard australiano campe\u00f3 en la primera posici\u00f3n durante 1 hora y 48 minutos. Fue lo que tard\u00f3 en batirle el catal\u00e1n Marc Soler (Movistar Team), que mejor\u00f3 su tiempo por apenas cinco cent\u00e9simas para rubricar un \u00faltimo hito en su sobresaliente debut en el Tour de Francia. Ipso facto le bati\u00f3 Soren Kragh (Team Sunweb), y poco despu\u00e9s lleg\u00f3 Michal Kwiatkowski (Team Sky) para registrar un 41\u201942\u201d que segu\u00eda siendo campe\u00f3n cuando salieron los mejores de la general.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La lucha del top10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tanto Bob Jungels (Quick-Step Floors) como Ilnur Zakarin (Katusha &#8211; Alpecin) batieron el registro de Kwiatkowski en el parcial de Soura\u00efde (km22), pero no lograron hacerlo en meta: actuaci\u00f3n est\u00e9ril para el luxemburgu\u00e9s, pero que en el caso del ruso tuvo la recompensa de rebasar a Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) y birlarle el 9\u00ba puesto de la general. Otro tanto hizo Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale) con el 6\u00ba lugar del otro l\u00edder del conjunto telef\u00f3nico, Mikel Landa, que cay\u00f3 a la s\u00e9ptima plaza.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roglic, fuera del podio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Respecto al caj\u00f3n, hubo pocas dudas: ya en el primer punto intermedio, Primoz Roglic (LottoNL &#8211; Jumbo) registr\u00f3 un parcial que le apeaba en beneficio de Chris Froome (Team Sky). El brit\u00e1nico consigui\u00f3 mejorar por apenas segundos a Tom Dumoulin (Team Sunweb) en ambos puntos de cronometraje, en los cuales se impuso con holgura un Geraint Thomas (Team Sky) que, una vez atado el triunfo en la general, baj\u00f3 el ritmo para ser tercero en meta mientras su compa\u00f1ero anglokeniano y su rival neerland\u00e9s se bat\u00edan por una victoria parcial que cay\u00f3 del En ning\u00fan momento he pensado en ganar el Tour de Francia y de repente\u2026 \u00a1He ganado el Tour! No puedo hablar, es incre\u00edble. La \u00faltima vez que llor\u00e9 fue cuando me cas\u00e9. No s\u00e9 qu\u00e9 me pasa. Me he sentido bien, muy fuerte durante toda la contrarreloj. Me dijeron que estaba el primero de la crono y arriesgu\u00e9 un poco en busca la victoria. Entonces, mi director Nicolas Portal me dijo que me relajara y me asegurara de ganar el Tour y cambi\u00e9 el chip\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tom Dumoulin:<\/strong> \u201cNo sab\u00eda que hab\u00eda ganado. Pensaba que hab\u00eda sido un segundo m\u00e1s lento que Froome. Estaba mirando si hab\u00eda sido segundo o tercero\u2026 Y de repente estaba el primero. Qu\u00e9 locura. \u00a1Ha sido un d\u00eda incre\u00edble! Esta ma\u00f1ana estaba gru\u00f1\u00f3n, por decir algo, porque nos hemos dado cuenta de que hab\u00eda perdido mi mono de contrarreloj. Por suerte, nuestro patrocinador t\u00e9cnico es del Pa\u00eds Vasco y, pese a estar de vacaciones, llam\u00f3 a una costurera jubilada para que me confeccionara un mono nuevo a toda prisa y tra\u00e9rmelo esta ma\u00f1ana. Gracias a eso he podido correr con el maillot arco\u00edris. La etapa de ayer fue dura para m\u00ed, pero hoy me he desprendido de toda la frustraci\u00f3n. Es fant\u00e1stico terminar el Tour con una victoria de etapa. En cuanto a la general, no tengo nada que lamentar: gan\u00f3 el mejor. Geraint Thomas merece este Tour de Francia\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alejandro Valverde:<\/strong> \u201cHe intentado ir r\u00e1pido. Para arriba me sent\u00eda bien, iba con ganas, pero hab\u00eda varias zonas mojadas en la bajada de Pinodieta y f\u00e1cilmente habr\u00e9 perdido quince o veinte segundos ah\u00ed. Pienso que nos podemos ir satisfechos con la actitud mostrada. Como los anteriores Tours, ha sido una carrera bonita y r\u00e1pida, pero muy bloqueada, muy controlada por Sky, en la que, con las fuerzas que ten\u00edamos este a\u00f1o, hemos intentado romper con todo lo que pod\u00edamos. En las etapas de monta\u00f1a hemos dado el m\u00e1ximo que ten\u00edamos. Yo iba con el cartel de l\u00edder, pero sabemos que no era l\u00edder, que Mikel y Nairo eran los referentes. Llevo once victorias y cuatro rondas por etapas, y por ello al Tour ven\u00edamos a lo que ven\u00edamos. Por ellos atacamos de lejos y nos dejamos todo. Me he divertido, he sufrido\u2026 ha habido de todo. Al final se ha ganado una etapa, hemos metido a Mikel y Nairo entre los diez primeros, vamos a ganar por equipos\u2026 pienso que est\u00e1 fenomenal. Ahora toca descansar, disfrutar las vacaciones y luego ya habr\u00e1 tiempo de disputar la Vuelta, pensando siempre en el Mundial\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mikel Landa:<\/strong> \u201cHoy no ha sido un buen d\u00eda. No me he encontrado bien y los rivales han sido mejores. Es lo que hay. Ven\u00edamos con mayores aspiraciones, pero las cosas se han dado as\u00ed. Hemos peleado cada d\u00eda y movido la carrera cuanto hemos podido, as\u00ed que por ese lado, pienso que podemos estar satisfechos. Dentro de la mierda de d\u00eda que he tenido, lo mejor de la jornada ha sido correr ante este p\u00fablico espectacular. Creo que he sido bastante regular durante el Tour, dentro de lo que cabe. Tuve un percance muy serio con la ca\u00edda de Roubaix, pero supe mantener la calma y confirmar, tras el cuarto puesto del a\u00f1o pasado, que soy un corredor estable manteni\u00e9ndome entre esos diez primeros puestos. Quiz\u00e1s no hemos podido aprovechar la carrera tanto como quer\u00edamos; pens\u00e1bamos que podr\u00edamos plantar m\u00e1s cara en subida, pero no le hemos podido sacar partido a nuestro terreno. Esperemos que el recorrido de la Vuelta ayude un poquito m\u00e1s y podamos sacar ventaja sobre otro tipo de corredores. La temporada estaba enfocada en llegar tambi\u00e9n fresco al tramo final, y espero estar ah\u00ed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nairo Quintana:<\/strong> \u201cNo ha sido el d\u00eda que esper\u00e1bamos. La ca\u00edda del jueves me dej\u00f3 molestias muy duras en la cadera y el codo, y a\u00fan puedo dar gracias de que no fue a peor, que no complic\u00f3 mi continuidad en el Tour y que pude terminar. Toca quedarse con lo bueno: finalmente terminamos entre los diez primeros y nos llevamos una gran etapa de monta\u00f1a, con el apoyo de un magn\u00edfico equipo, en un d\u00eda donde hicimos muy bien las cosas. Seguimos mirando hacia adelante y ahora vamos a preparar la Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a, a ver c\u00f3mo nos sale. No obtuvimos el resultado esperado en el Tour, pero seguimos en la pelea, siempre en la lucha, y confiamos en estar a mejor nivel en agosto y septiembre para seguir batallando\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peter Sagan:<\/strong> \u201cCreo que el d\u00eda m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil fue ayer. Estoy muy contento de haber podido superar estas tres etapas complicadas para llegar de verde a Par\u00eds. Me duelen la espalda y la pierna izquierda: no puedo pedalear con normalidad, tengo que torcerme un poco. Espero tener un buen d\u00eda ma\u00f1ana. El principal objetivo es llegar a meta: de ah\u00ed en adelante, lo que pueda lograr ser\u00e1 bienvenido. Por lo pronto, estoy muy contento.
