El austaliano Simon Clarke (Education First-Drapac), ganador de la monta\u00f1a en la carrera espa\u00f1ola en 2012, ha sido el vencedor de la etapa al imponerse a Mollema y De Marchi tras 188,7 kil\u00f3metros entre Granada y Roquetas de Mar, con m\u00e1s de 2.500 metros de ascenso acumulado. Por su lado, Rudy Molard (Groupama-FDJ) es el nuevo l\u00edder de la carrera gracias a la ventaja lograda por la fuga; el primer franc\u00e9s el liderar La Vuelta desde 2011.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4318\" src=\"http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/98296.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"666\" srcset=\"http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/98296.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/98296-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/arciclismo.com.ar\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/98296-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Se han necesitado m\u00e1s de 60 kil\u00f3metros y la subida al Alto de \u00d3rgiva (3\u00aa categor\u00eda) en el kil\u00f3metro 55 de carrera, para que por fin se destacara una fuga muy numerosa en una jornada donde el pelot\u00f3n anunciaba que las ten\u00eda todas para triunfar. Finalmente se han marchado 25 corredores, donde estaban representados todos los equipos menos el Team Sky, que ha marcado el ritmo el pelot\u00f3n en favor del liderato de Michal Kwiatkowski y un Quick Step que pod\u00eda confiar en la velocidad de Elia Viviani, vencedor el domingo en Alharu\u00edn de la Torre.<\/p>\n<p>Ah\u00ed estaban corredores del nivel del campe\u00f3n europeo Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton-Scott), cuatro veces vencedor de etapa en la passada edici\u00f3n de La Vuelta, otros vencedores de etapa en la carrera espa\u00f1ola como Alessandro De Marchi (BMC), Bauke Mollema y Gianluca Brambilla (Trek-Segafredo) o Alexandre Geniez (Ag2r La Mondiale) o el vencedor de la monta\u00f1a en la edici\u00f3n de 2012, el austaliano Simon Clarke (Education First-Drapac). Ning\u00fan equipo ha trabajado en su persecuci\u00f3n, y eso les ha permitido alcanzar una distancia con la que no solamente se han jugado el triunfo de etapa, sino que se ha podido forzar un cambio de l\u00edder.<\/p>\n<p>Un Alessandro De Marchi muy batallador no ha esperado la llegada del decisivo Alto El Marchal (2\u00aa categor\u00eda) para romper la carrera. El italiano ha roto la fuga, primero llev\u00e1ndose a su rueda a St\u00e9phane Rossetto (Cofidis) a m\u00e1s de 50 kil\u00f3metros para la l\u00ednia de meta, y luego march\u00e1ndose en solitario, forzando la reacci\u00f3n de dos corredores del nivel de Bauke Mollema y Simon Clarke para que le alcanzaron. Junto han hecho los 10,8 kil\u00f3metros al 4,1% de pendiente medio del puerto final, que se coronaban a 27 kil\u00f3metros para la l\u00ednea de meta, para acabar jug\u00e1ndose la etapa.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de un pinchazo del neerland\u00e9s en los \u00faltimos kil\u00f3metros del puerto y los ataques entre ellos en las calles de Roquetas, los tres han buscado el triufo parcial en un sprint donde se ha impuesto Simon Clarke. A solamente 8 segundos ha entrado un grupo con el franc\u00e9s Rudy Molard (Groupama-FDJ), que estaba a menos de 4 minutos del liderato al empezar la etapa y que ha logrado la ventaja suficiente sobre un pelot\u00f3n que ha rodado tranquilo para convertirse en el primer franc\u00e9s en liderar La Vuelta desde Sylvain Chavanel en 2011, y el primer corredor del equipo FDJ en lograr lo mismo desde el etapa, pero estoy contento con la roja. Cuando vi que el grupo de delante estaba ganando tiempo, me he centrado en cambiar el objetivo, el liderato, pero no me lo he cre\u00eddo hasta que no he cruzado la meta. Ha sido algo inesperado. Estamos aqu\u00ed para trabajar para Thibaut Pinot y Marc Sarreau en los sprints. Un maillot de l\u00edder en grandes vueltas significa mucho. Es algo \u00fanico y muy especial, que a muchos corredores les gustar\u00eda disfrutar alg\u00fan d\u00eda. Me gustar\u00eda mantenerlo hasta el domingo. Ahora llegan tres d\u00edas f\u00e1ciles por delante, con llegadas al sprint\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simon Clarke<\/strong> (Education First), ganador de la 5\u00aa etapa: \u201cEs incre\u00edble. He trabajado muy duro desde la \u00faltima vez que gan\u00e9 aqu\u00ed (en 2012), pero sencillamente no lograba repetirlo. Ha sido un camino largo de vuelta, pero hoy las estrellas se han alineado. Sab\u00eda que ten\u00eda buenas piernas, pero en una fuga con tantos corredores, la cooperaci\u00f3n nunca es muy buena. Como se ha podido ver, el movimiento ganador lo hemos hecho en un descenso, as\u00ed que ha sido complicado decidirse. En los \u00faltimos kil\u00f3metros, pensaba en que crec\u00ed en los vel\u00f3dromos hasta los 15 a\u00f1os, porque era como ciclismo en pista. Sab\u00eda que De Marchi es r\u00e1pido, pero tras una etapa tan larga es muy duro sprintar. Yo tambi\u00e9n he tenido rampas en los ataques de Mollema. Estaba muy preocupado porque no nos alcanzaran los perseguidores, pero en estas situaciones, te debes mantener fr\u00edo como el hielo\u201d.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_211865\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\">\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma; font-size: small;\">Bauke Mollema (Trek)<\/span><\/b>, segundo clasificado en la etapa: \u201cQuer\u00eda empezar el sprint en \u00faltima posici\u00f3n. Esperaba que los perseguidores nos pudieran alcanzar, lo cual hubiera a\u00f1adido un poco m\u00e1s de nerviosismo a la situaci\u00f3n, sabiendo que no era el m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido. Pero ten\u00edamos bastante segundos sobre ellos. Ha sido un final t\u00e1ctico y bonito. Estoy contento por c\u00f3mo me he sentido y c\u00f3mo estaban mis piernas. Ha sido una pena. En los \u00faltimos kil\u00f3metros, mayormente hab\u00eda viento de cara, pero finalmente ha cambiado a favor en la recta de meta. Pero as\u00ed ha ido. En los \u00faltimos kil\u00f3metros, mayormente hab\u00eda viento de cara, pero finalmente ha cambiado a favor en la recta de meta. Pero as\u00ed ha ido. En el primero no tuve las mejores sensaciones, quise conseguir la monta\u00f1a, pero no me sent\u00eda del todo bien. Hoy ha sido una fuga de calidad, cerrada con un Top 10, lo que me parece positivo en mi primer a\u00f1o en La Vuelta.\u00a0Hace mucho calor pero, durante la etapa, quiz\u00e1 por el viento de cara, no se notaba tanto. La idea era repartirse la tarea de coger la fuga entre todos en el equipo. Yo he esperado un poquito, ya que conoc\u00eda el terreno. Hasta el repecho antes de Lanjaron iba mirando sin atacar y despu\u00e9s me he puesto delante y nos hemos marchado en el puerto de tercera. Ha sido muy duro, pero satisfecho\u201d.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"es-ES\"><strong>Omar Fraile (Astana):<\/strong> \u201cHoy era una etapa que ten\u00eda marcada desde antes de empezar La Vuelta. Era un objetivo, sab\u00edamos que iba a llegar la fuga. He salido a probarlo un poco, y aunque me siento mucho mejor, todav\u00eda estoy un poco resarcido de los golpes, estoy un poco hinchado. Hoy se ha volado. Las primeras dos horas han sido incre\u00edbles, no se paraba. En la subida se ha roto todo, y adem\u00e1s el calor est\u00e1 haciendo mucha mella. No puede estar un equipo tirando al m\u00e1ximo porque queda mucha carrera y se acumula mucha fatiga. Nosotros estamos tranquilos, vamos a ir d\u00eda a d\u00eda. Ayer ya vimos que (Miguel \u00c1ngel) L\u00f3pez est\u00e1 bien, aunque con el calor le est\u00e1 costando entrar en carrera, pero todos vamos a estar al m\u00e1ximo con \u00e9l\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrey Amador:<\/strong> \u201cHa sido un d\u00eda bastante duro, uno de esos en los que la escapada se sabe que va a llegar y en el que hubo que pelear mucho para entrar. Hubo mucha guerra desde el inicio y ten\u00edamos todos claro que en grupos grandes ten\u00eda que ir uno del equipo. Quer\u00edamos que la carrera fuese r\u00e1pida y l\u00f3gicamente estar representados en una fuga as\u00ed, pero con toda la pelea anterior, he llegado ya muy cansado y cuando se han ido esos tres, ha habido un punto que la carrera ya la ten\u00edamos un poco perdida y he arrancado para intentar que la diferencia se redujese un poco, pero no se ha podido volver a pelear. Una pena no poder rematar. De todas formas, me encuentro bien, muy parecido al Tour. Me gustar\u00eda afinar un poco el peso en estos pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas, ya que ahora mismo -no s\u00e9 si por el calor o por otro motivo- me noto un pel\u00edn por encima de lo que me gustar\u00eda. Vamos poco a poco. Nuestros l\u00edderes siguen intactos, estamos bien metidos en carrera y lo importante en esta carrera va a ser llegar en perfecto estado a la \u00faltima semana. Tengo confianza de que as\u00ed va a ser\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alejandro Valverde:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cHa sido una etapa dur\u00edsima: 3000m de desnivel, much\u00edsimo calor y un inicio de etapa realmente duro. Solo ha sido algo m\u00e1s c\u00f3modo el tramo final, pero hasta entonces ha habido mucho desgaste. No creo que cambie mucho la carrera con el liderato de Molard; simplemente el equipo Sky quer\u00eda dejar el maillot, porque es una gran responsabilidad y trabajo cada d\u00eda, y lo han hecho perfecto. Han llevado el mando todo el d\u00eda pero no han tirado para cazar la fuga. Yo por mi parte estoy bien; con ganas de llegar ma\u00f1ana a Murcia. En el trmao final puede hacer un poco de viento, pero la etapa de ma\u00f1ana ni mucho menos ser\u00e1 un d\u00eda tan duro como hoy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nairo Quintana:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cHa sido un d\u00eda exigente, con una salida muy agresiva. Llevamos a Andrey adelante, por lo que pudiera pasar, y nosotros nos mantuvimos a la expectativa en el pelot\u00f3n. Andrey est\u00e1 demostrando una gran condici\u00f3n, aqu\u00ed en la Vuelta y durante toda la temporada.
