Los corredores aprovecharon cada uno de los 220 kil\u00f3metros pr\u00e1cticamente llanos que ten\u00edan ante s\u00ed y el fuerte viento para ofrecer un magn\u00edfico espect\u00e1culo. Los rodadores del conjunto belga Deceuninck-Quick Step fueron los principales protagonistas de un abanico que, con la implicaci\u00f3n del Movistar Team de Nairo Quintana y el Team Sunweb de Wilco Kelderman, se march\u00f3 desde el kil\u00f3metro 4 para franquear la meta de Guadalajara con 5\u201929\u201d sobre un grupo de favoritos deslavazado donde figuraba Primoz Roglic, quien mantuvo La Roja pero se vio aislado sin compa\u00f1eros de Jumbo-Visma por primera vez en esta gran ronda espa\u00f1ola. Quintana se coloca 2\u00ba en la general a 2\u201924\u201d del esloveno. En la lucha por el triunfo parcial, Philippe Gilbert consigui\u00f3 la justa recompensa para Deceuninck-Quick Step por delante del irland\u00e9s Sam Bennett (Bora-Hansgrohe).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A las 11:57, 158 corredores demarran la decimos\u00e9ptima etapa de La Vuelta 19, que cubrir\u00eda 219,6 kil\u00f3metros entre Aranda del Duero y Guadalajara. No tardaron cuatro kil\u00f3metros los corredores de Deceuninck-Quick Step en aprovechar el tremendo viento que soplaba hoy en Castilla y Le\u00f3n para forzar un corte de medio centenar de corredores en el cual colocaron siete de sus ciclistas. Tambi\u00e9n se filtraron dos corredores del top10 de la general, Nairo Quintana (6\u00ba hasta hoy) y Wilco Kelderman (8\u00ba), con tres y cuatro compa\u00f1eros respectivamente de Movistar Team y Team Sunweb. UAE Team Emirates, Astana Pro Team y Bora-Hansgrohe aunaron paulatinamente sus esfuerzos con los neerlandeses, mientras por delante los escapados circulaban en armon\u00eda y con varios infiltrados de los equipos cazadores esperando su momento para dejarse caer. El Alto de la Carrascosa, una dificultad no puntuable coronada en el kil\u00f3metro 86, provoc\u00f3 una selecci\u00f3n tanto en cabeza como en el pelot\u00f3n. Sin embargo, hubo un momento en que cundi\u00f3 el desacuerdo delante a la par que detr\u00e1s ganaban inercia. Fue entonces que lleg\u00f3 la subida de Jadraque, un largo repecho en el cual Movistar Team utiliz\u00f3 a Antonio Pedrero para reventar un grupo de favoritos y desarmar a Jumbo-Visma y UAE Team Emirates. Pasado el aceler\u00f3n, al pelot\u00f3n le quedaban 45 kil\u00f3metros por delante y s\u00f3lo Astana Pro Team y Bora-Hansgrohe ten\u00edan alg\u00fan gregario que aportar a la caza. Mientras tanto, por delante, Team Sunweb y Movistar Team segu\u00edan tirando con sus hombres para propiciar que la distancia en meta ascendiera a 5\u201929\u201d. En cuanto a la resoluci\u00f3n de la etapa, Zdenek Stybar (Deceuninck-Quick Step) atac\u00f3 a 3 de meta; Bennett le sec\u00f3 a 600 metros del final; y Gilbert remach\u00f3 al campe\u00f3n
