El australiano Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) complet\u00f3 el podio imponi\u00e9ndose en el sprint de persecuci\u00f3n, despu\u00e9s de ser v\u00edctima de un accidente en el Poggio en el que conferencia de prensa:\u00a0<em>&#8220;La fatiga en el Poggio se sinti\u00f3 en las piernas. Cuando llegu\u00e9 a la cima pens\u00e9 que Julian tambi\u00e9n estaba nervioso. Entonces todo se fue a mi favor. Una vez que lo devolv\u00ed, supe que ten\u00eda una buena oportunidad de ganar. Hoy es un d\u00eda especial porque gan\u00e9 mi primer Monumento. Todav\u00eda tengo una larga carrera por delante y estar\u00eda feliz de lograr diferentes \u00e9xitos, en la carretera como en el ciclocross. Como belga, tambi\u00e9n me gustar\u00eda ganar el Tour de Flandes. Cuesta arriba conseguir\u00e9 la ventaja y soy bueno en la contrarreloj, probablemente pueda ganar un mont\u00f3n de carreras diferentes, excepto por una gran vuelta&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El subcampe\u00f3n,\u00a0<strong>Julian Alaphilippe,<\/strong>dijo:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Este podio me deja con sentimientos encontrados, aunque en general estoy feliz de ser de mi actuaci\u00f3n. Wout corri\u00f3 muy bien y merec\u00eda la victoria. Fui por todo el Poggio, pero cuesta abajo me di cuenta de que solo no pod\u00eda hacer una diferencia, as\u00ed que colabor\u00e9 con Wout. Fue un sprint muy duro, lo dimos todo y al final creo que puedo decir que gan\u00f3 el m\u00e1s fuerte&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El tercer clasificado\u00a0<strong>Michael Matthews<\/strong>coment\u00f3:\u00a0<em>&#8220;En la segunda parte del Poggio trat\u00e9 de disparar, pero un par de corredores frente a m\u00ed en ese momento me cerraron y me golpe\u00e9 la mano y el hombro contra la pared. No he podido mantener bien el manillar desde entonces. Mi equipo hizo un gran trabajo hoy, no quer\u00eda rendirme. Hoy quer\u00eda ganar, ten\u00eda las piernas para hacerlo pero esto es ciclismo, a veces ganas, a veces pierdes. En el sprint final lo di todo, estar en el podio sigue siendo un buen resultado&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aranburu<\/strong>. <em>\u00abEs mi debut en el Mil\u00e1n-San Remo, no sab\u00eda qu\u00e9 esperar de m\u00ed mismo en esta larga carrera con un clima tan caluroso durante todo el d\u00eda. Nunca hab\u00eda corrido m\u00e1s de 300 km antes, pero al final, puedo estar orgulloso de mi rendimiento. Ha sido un d\u00eda muy duro, pero he conseguido quedarme en el primer grupo y hacer un buen sprint. Empec\u00e9 un poco por detr\u00e1s, pero termin\u00e9 en el Top10 y creo que es un resultado muy bueno para m\u00ed. Creo que fue una experiencia muy valiosa para m\u00ed, me ayudar\u00e1 a seguir progresando en mi desarrollo como corredor. Seguro que me gustar\u00eda volver a esta carrera una vez m\u00e1s e intentar mejorar mi resultado.
